It helps to have background knowledge of evolution, specifically sexual selection. I used this in one of my grad/undergrad mixed classes (400/500 level). I appreciate how at times when the governing principles behind specific phenomenon are unknown, it usually|||“Altogether this is an excellent introductory text, with full and balanced coverage, easy to read and, to the publisher’s credit, a physically attractive book. It does the authors great credit that they have so refreshed an enduring classic.&rdquo
